Solfege For Minor Scale. Solfege for minor scales is different based on whether or not you used Do-based or La-based minor. Both work well, but in my opinion, La-based is better. La-based minor emphasizes the relationship between Major and Minor keys in the first place (how they use the same notes but start on different pitches).

Solfege is when you assign scale degrees to syllables invented hundreds of years ago. Using the same syllables across different keys allows you to develop better inner hearing and understanding of how the notes are related to one another and function in keys.
